Fresh Citadel is operated by Sakura Maeda at 〒657-0036 兵庫県神戸市灘区桜口町3-6, in Nada Ward, Kobe. The gallery is open on Saturdays from 11:00 to 17:00, and weekdays are by appointment. Reach us at hello@freshcitadel.com or 078-806-5148.

The photographs, articles, glaze notes and the pottery designs shown on this site belong to Fresh Citadel. You may link to a page or quote a short passage with credit. Copying photos or text into a shop listing, a catalogue or a competing class description requires our written permission, and no one else may sell copies of a piece shown here as their own.
—
Each piece is thrown or built by hand from Tamba-blend clay and fired in the studio's gas kiln, so shape, glaze and size vary slightly from the photograph. Prices, for example ¥3,800 for the breakfast bowl and ¥2,400 for a yunomi, are in yen. Stock changes after each firing, roughly every six to eight weeks, and an item shown may already have gone.
—
The site does not process payments. After you write, we confirm in writing which piece is yours, the price and how it will reach you or be collected. A sale is complete only after that confirmation and your agreement to it. Payment method and timing are set out in the same message.
—
Class fees, such as ¥6,500 for the wheel-throwing introduction or ¥22,000 for the four-session monthly circle, are per person. A place is held once we confirm it by reply. If you cannot attend, tell us as early as possible and we will try to move you to another Saturday; fired work from a session you missed stays in the studio until you collect it.
—
Custom tableware begins with a conversation about size, glaze and number of pieces. The lead time is typically two to three months from that first conversation to delivery. Because each piece is made for you, we agree the specification, price and delivery in writing before work starts, and later changes are discussed rather than assumed.
—
Handmade work can arrive chipped or may not match what we agreed. Contact us promptly with a photo and we will repair, replace or refund, depending on what is practical. Because kiln firing is a natural process, small variations in glaze are part of the work and are not treated as faults. Your statutory consumer rights in Japan are not reduced by these terms.
—
To the extent the law allows, Fresh Citadel is not liable for indirect loss from using the site, for pages on other sites we link to, or for decisions based on general information in our articles about clay and firing.
—
These terms are governed by Japanese law. Disputes that cannot be settled by discussion go to the Kobe District Court (神戸地方裁判所) as the court of first instance by agreement, unless a mandatory rule provides another venue.
—
We update these terms when the studio changes how it takes bookings or sells work. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last edited, and the version shown applies from that date.
—
Visitors are welcome to photograph their own pieces and the gallery for personal use. Please ask before photographing another visitor, and before using studio pictures for anything that is sold or advertised.
—
These terms are published in English for visitors to the site. Notices to you are sent to the email address you used when writing to us, and notices to the studio go to hello@freshcitadel.com.
